My Granny Went to Market

A delightful ’round-the-world counting rhyme! My Granny Went to Market tells the tale of a grandmother who travels by magic carpet to shop. She buys one item at the first destination, two at the next, and so forth.

Each product that Granny buys is representative of its country. In Turkey she buys the flying rug, and in China she buys paper lanterns. Also on Granny’s shopping list: boomerangs, cats, drums and more.

Children and adults enjoy this story’s cadence and colorful illustrations. It’s recommended especially for children up to seven years old.
