Always an Olivia

Based on a true story, Always an Olivia: A Remarkable Family History traces an African-American family’s roots back to Judaism and the Spanish Inquisition. Ever since the 1490s, one daughter in each generation has been given the name Olivia to honor the Jewish part of their ancestry. Adventures from different generations comprise the story.

Author Carolivia Herron has also won critical acclaim for the children’s book Nappy Hair.
