Little House In the Big Woods

Little House in the Big Woods is the first novel in the nine-part Little House series. Based on the author’s life, it tells the story of a little girl living in a log cabin in 1870s Wisconsin.

Ever since the first book’s publication in 1932, young readers have adored the Little House world for its depictions of a loving family and a hardworking frontier lifestyle. Almost a century later the series remains a top recommendation for readers in grades 3 to 5.
